Annual Event
We’ll be at Elston Electric from 6–11:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6 to celebrate another year of community and care over some good food, good company, and arcade games!
Come and go as you please! This event is free and open to the public. We’re asking folks to register so we know how many people to expect and how much food to order. TYIA!
From 6–11:00 p.m., 10% of arcade sales will be donated to Women Unite! and Chicago United Solidarity Project. 👾 🕹️
The bar is creating a specialty cocktail just for us! A portion of sales from each drink will support our work 🍹 💗
We’ll have food from Snackie Chan, homecooked Burmese food prepared by a few of the immigrant and refugee farmers at Global Gardens 🍜 🍚, and home made tamales prepared by a Rogers Park grandmother who can no longer vend consistently due to 🧊. Elston Electric will also have a food truck set up where folks can purchase items.
DJ Shey Bae will be setting the vibe 🎶 🎧
We’ll have a card-making station set up where folks can make thank you and holiday cards for abortion providers and advocates! 💌
We’ll have a raffle (duh!) 🎟️. We’ve already secured awesome items from: Bon Vivant Cakes, Chicago Botanic Garden, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Chicago White Sox, DMen Tavern, Flowers for Dreams, Felt Chicago, Gibson’s Steak House, Hey, I Thought of You, The Long Room, Marigold Press, Moody’s Market, Moonlighter, The Movement Guild, Outside Voices, Pizzeria Portofino, Ponnopozz, Restoried Bookshop, Scofflaw, Shaw’s Crab House, Uncharted Books, and more to come!
