Meet the WU! Crew

Grants Contractor
she/her/hers

Where do you work?
I work with Women Unite! as a Grants Contractor. Research and writing are two of my favorite skills, and I love that in this role I get to use both to help keep organizations going strong. I also work in publishing with mission-driven authors, helping them get their books out into the world and into the hands of people who need them.

How long have you been involved with Women Unite!?
I joined WU! in late 2025 as a Grants Contractor. So far I have supported The Evolved Network, Girls on the Run, and Landmarks Illinois.

What do you like most about WU!?

I appreciate the way the team is not only dedicated to its clients but also to each other’s well-being.

What’s an issue you care deeply about? Why?
Disability justice. I’m a caregiver for my mom, who has MS, so I’ve seen how frustrating it can be to navigate the world and get the support you need as a disabled person.

What’s a hobby you have?
Reading, film photography, and trying not to buy another book before I’ve read the last one I bought. I’m also working on a zine right now.

What gives you hope?
Having a loving conversation with a friend, reading a hopeful story, listening to a favorite song, and how, despite everything, we keep showing up to take care of each other.

What’s one of your favorite local businesses?
Any of the independent bookstores in my area [New Jersey]. There is one where the employees place handwritten notes on books they recommend, sharing why you should read them, which I love.
