Where do you work?
I’m a full-time grant writer working with a few clients of my own, and with Women Unite!.

How long have you been involved with Women Unite!?
I joined in January 2026.

What do you like most about WU!?
I’m just getting started, but I’m already impressed by the work environment. The systems are well organized, the team is welcoming, and the added stipends and incentives are generous—especially meaningful given that these aren’t typically expected. I appreciate the organization’s commitment to accessibility, from offering sliding-scale services to partnering with smaller nonprofits. Above all, there is a genuine desire at WU! to make the world a better place.

What’s an issue (social or political) you care deeply about? Why?
My degree is in Legal Studies and my education has shaped a concern for issues connected to the justice system—an area in urgent need of reform and alternative resources. A closely related issue that matters deeply to me is immigration. My faith, my professional experience (including previous work with a social enterprise that prioritized employing refugees), and my close relationship with a friend who is directly affected by current events in our country all inform my belief that immigrants should be treated with respect and dignity.

What’s a hobby you have?
I love to read and go on walks! I absolutely adore international travel and I recently discovered the whimsical joy of solo traveling. I love pursuing hobbies and am constantly rotating through one or two current obsessions. Last year was a particularly busy season while I was finishing my degree, so I’m taking life a bit more slowly these days. When I have more margin, learning pottery and traveling to Mexico are high on my to-do list.

What gives you hope?
A rich community of lovely humans who love and believe in me, sunshiny days, my sense of god, and the rare and beautiful gift of existing.

A favorite local business of mine is Passenger Coffee—a well-sourced, well-crafted coffee shop that consistently delivers exceptional customer service.
